Pictured above is the Checkered Dresden block on a 22-24” background. In this class with Ann, you will learn to make this block into a small wallhanging. You could also make 3 Checkered Dresden blocks together for a table runner, or 9 to make a quilt. Whichever project you choose, this block will make a big impact with your fabric stash!
TABLE RUNNERS WITH GAIL BROWN
From the book “The Trendy Table”, you will learn to make these 2 table runners with Gail. At the far left is “Wrapped”, a Christmas-themed table runner with a contemporary look. The gift boxes are scrap and fat-quarter friendly.
On the right is “Tango”, a colorful and jelly roll friendly runner. Don’t fret! This runner is easier than it looks-it is constructed in rows without the use of Y-seams for a frustration-free project.

Our new vendor this year is Sew Crazy from Lapeer, and they are bringing along a fun project! Using the provided 3.5” squares, sew a four patch block to be added to their community quilt, which will be donated in June 2019 and auctioned off to benefit the Lapeer Art Festival. Sew as many blocks as you like because Sew Crazy will donate all the quilts that are made. (You can even bring your own 3.5” squares if you wish.) Find out more on their Facebook page.
